The Algarve is a magnificent region in southern Portugal that is renowned for its gorgeous beaches, quaint towns, and most importantly (for some), top-notch golf courses. When thinking of Christmas and the festive season, the Algarve is not exactly the first destination that comes to mind… but not everyone is looking for a white Christmas, and many would welcome an escape from the Christmas chaos in their hometowns. The Algarve is fairly peaceful over the festive season (not quite as commercialised), however, every town seems to have events that keep the spirit very much alive.

While we wave away to summer, here in Portugal we are still fully embracing the ever sunny days of Autumn & more importantly… celebrating the September grape harvest season. Local wine tasting events and winery tours are a popular attraction to those that choose to vacation in Portugal, and if you have not yet considered it, we urge you to push this cultural experience to the top of your luxury holiday 'to-do' list … trust us, it's about more than just the wine!

As we approach a new season and look back on the majority of Summer 2022, we can be grateful for the return to normality post the global pandemic and the chance to escape and travel once more.
