Portugal's recent addition to the UK's 'green list' has enabled many holidaymakers to finally embrace a much-needed break away after a long period of restrictions and shattered dreams. Among some of those embarking on travel plans and venturing to the sun-kissed regions of Quinta Do Lago, Vale Do Lobo & Vilamoura were a group you may associate with 'the beautiful game'.

Ipswich Town Football Club finished their regular League One season at the beginning of May and after a long, hard season, it was time for the First Team players to enjoy some downtime and board a plane to the Algarve.

A selection of the squad including Ireland internationals, Alan Judge and Stephen Ward were joined by their teammates Teddy Bishop, David Cornell, Luke Chambers, Gwion Edwards, Freddie Sears and James Norwood for a golf trip abroad.

During their stay, the players also took in their luxury surroundings with visits to the Vilamoura marina, local bars/restaurants and enjoying the finest local cuisine.

Ipswich Striker, Norwood, also gave us a nice mention on his instagram profile, as he lined himself up for a winning shot…
